All Hands Pitch in to Beautify Grant School Garden

It was a sunny spring morning and the school garden at Grant Elementary school was anticipating a family focused makeover.  As the sun started to shine, families gathered under the shade of the garden trees to weed, mulch, and plant the spring garden.

In a few hours the pile of weeds pulled was 4 feet tall and the 2 dump truck loads full of mulch were spread over the paths and seating areas. Students and their siblings had planted seeds and starts and sifted the finished compost pile.

Everyone celebrated their hard work with fruit smoothies made in the bike blender and veggie quesadillas.
