Bike Blender Makeovers

As a part of a program aimed at teaching job readiness to local youth, the interns got to exercise their problem solving skills and creativity by overhauling a pair of unique bikes. Project EAT’s bicycle blender is used at many school and community events to bring nutrition and physical awareness and make healthy fruit smoothies.  Interns started by giving the bikes top to bottom cleaning and buffing out the scuff marks. Next interns took a step back and envisioned changes they wanted to make. Next they took the tape off of the bikes and re-taped the colorful fruit rims of the bike. Lastly the crew is working together to design project EAT logo flags for the bike blenders.  When the project is complete, the beloved bikes will be fresh, tuned up, and ready for another amazing event filled year.
