Castlemont Interns Make Fire Cider and Kraut
Making fire cider and kraut with our afterschool apprentices at castlemont! Fire cider is a traditional way to fight off colds and boost immunity. We put ginger garlic onions horseradish jalapeño and turmeric in organic apple cider vinegar and let it infuse for 6+weeks. We also made kraut, a fermented preserved cabbage that is great for providing healthy probiotics we need for digestion and intestinal Heath. Our kraut was ready this week and our students loved it!
