Tennyson High School Takes 1st Place at the National Heirloom Exposition

September 8-11, 2015 was the National Heirloom Exposition in Santa Rosa, California.  It is known as the World's Pure Food Fair with everything from keynote speakers, like world renowned Food Justice Activist Vanda Shiva, warehouses of heirloom fruits and vegetables on display, and exhibit halls with heritage animals from around the country. Project EAT and Tennyson High School displayed a table at the School Garden Exhibit in the Hall of Flowers. Our display won 1st place!!! Thanks to the folks at Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Bank in Petaluma, we were able to bring Project EAT youth interns to the exposition as a field trip to experience all that the festival had to offer.
