Harvest of the Month (HOTM) highlights a seasonal produce of the month. It provides students the opportunity to sample a fresh seasonal fruit or vegetable and learn about it.
Educator newsletters are provided to participating teachers telling all about the produce of the month, including its nutrient value and learning activities to do in the classroom. Students are also given a family newsletter to share with their family and do a recipe at home. HOTM expands student knowledge about seasonal fresh produce and increases their consumption of fruits and vegetables.
